2676968 - Position restriction on Self not Working

The “Exclude access to Granted Users Position” option is ticked within the users Position object target population; however they can still access their own position.

• Role Based Permissions

If the users position matches the restrictions granted eg. In the “Include access to positions with the following criteria” section, and the “Include access to Position in hierarchy below the Granted User’s Position” restriction is not enabled with the “Exclude access to Granted Users Position” option, the user will still have access to their own position.

This is due to the “Exclude access to Granted Users Position” option is only active when the “Include access to Position in hierarchy below the Granted User’s Position” option is enabled.

If you wish to restrict a user to have access to their own position you may;

• Enable the “Include access to Position in hierarchy below the Granted User’s Position” restriction with the “Exclude access to Granted Users Position” option.
• Configure one of the other position restrictions options in a way which matches your business requirements. Please see the following Knowledge Based Article for further information.
