Go to Candidate Profile - Check for Candidate Profile Extension

Resolution

Candidate Profile Extension cannot be hidden, deleted or made read only to any users at the moment.

Note the visibility of the object should not be changed from editable as this will cause issues such as Data Capture Forms submission errors.
