This KBA explains the behavior of the Time Sheet Generate Job.

• SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

• The "Generate Time Sheet" job process time sheets for the current time sheet approval period only. 
  It generates the daily attendance recording for Negative recorders based on the planned working time in the work schedule or Temporary Time Information (if exists). 
  It does not generate daily attendance recording for Positive or Overtime recorders, because Positive and Overtime time sheets are intended for manual recordings. 
• If you want to generate past-dated missing negative time sheets, please create a "Time Management Recalculation Event" with Event Type = Recalculate Time Sheets for the negative user with a Date before the first day of the negative time sheet periods that you want to generate.
  
  This will also recalculate the existing time sheets after the Date if there is difference identified and the Time Sheet Recalculation will keep the same status for the new time sheet as the old replaced time sheet. 
  
  
  • If the recalculated time sheet was already approved, then the new amendment time sheet will be set to Approved without workflow triggered.

  • If the recalculated time sheet was pending approval, then the new replacement time sheet will be set to To be Approved status with a new workflow triggered.

Note:

• The Time Sheet Recalculation job will run even if the Enable Recalcluation is set to 'No' in the 'Time Management Configuration'.
• Regardless of the Enable Recalculation=No setting in 'Time Management Configuration', changes to the following Job Information fields will trigger the mandatory recalculation process:
  • Work Schedule 
  • Time Profile
  • Holiday Calendar
  • Time Recording Profile
  • Default Overtime Compensation Variant
