Reproducing the Issue
- Start the installation of Crystal Reports
- During the installation it hangs.
Cause
- The installation is blocked by a security software.
Example of Security Software: Avecto Defendpoint, BeyondTrust Privilege Management,...
Resolution

Temporarily disable the Security Software, install Crystal Reports, then re-enable the Security Software.
