2677850 - Message "enp_aesEncrypt: CCLCipherCtx_all failed with error: 0xa0100014." is logged repeatedly - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

After upgrading ASE to ASE 16.0 SP03 or later, the following 2 problems may start appearing:

  • Job Scheduler Task logs the following message repeatedly in ASE errorlog:

enp_aesEncrypt: CCLCipherCtx_all failed with error: 0xa0100014.

  • Scheduled jobs keep failing to execute and the following messages are logged in jsagent log:

jobschr_decr_passwd failed. enc_passwd <>, enc_passwdLen(7)
ja_decrypt_with_static_key(password decryption) failed
jsj__RunSQLJob: jsd_MakeConnection() failed for user <login name> to server <ASE name>
jsj__RunSQLJob() failed for xid <ID>
