2678216 - Crystal Report generates ABAP dump in ECC

Symptom

  • ABAP dump happens in SAP ECC/ERP during Crystal Reports execution on BI Platform
  • Crystal Reports will continue to spin in BI Launchpad when viewed
  • In OpenSQL driver trace log, you will see this error:
    SAP: An error occurred while trying to contact the SAP gateway using: -aHOST -gECCAPPHOST -xsapgw00. Message: ERROR     service '?' known
