Symptom
An automatic accrual posting runs in July, but the Start Date and End Date of the posting is in November.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Manage Time Off Calendar;
- Check Start Date and End Date of automatically generated accrual;
- Start Date and End Date is in a different month as compared to the run date;
Cause
Accrual Creation Offset is maintained as -120 days. This means accrual booking will be executed 120 days before the day the accrual should be posted. So if the start date of calendar in November is 1st November, the accrual posting will be done on 4th July.
Resolution
This is expected behavior. This field should not be maintained if the requirement is that accrual booking should start on the same date as accrual posting.
