2678670 - Budget Table - Remove/show split and NULL columns

Symptom

How do I remove/show budget based on fields and labels (like location, entity) on the budget table in compensation worksheets?
What should be done if NULL is appearing as title when grouping is done based on entity or location?

Resolution

Delete/Add the budget grouping and relaunch the worksheet.

Choose a Compensation template > Click Plan Setup > Plan Details > Budget

To add field(s) for grouping

  • Choose the first field from Group By Field 1, and second field from the Group By Field 2.
  • Note that grouping by fields is unique. You'll need to select different fields in Group By Field 1 and Group By Field 2.
  • From the Group By Label dropdown, choose either one or both the field labels to display the group label in worksheets.
  • By default, the total allocated budget is displayed on worksheets. To hide the total budget, choose No. and save your changes.

Note:

  • If you are using Total Compensation Template(both Salary and Bonus tab) and the budget table is showing "NULL" for a grouping title, please check the field used to group by, the NULL comes more often due to either ineligibility of the user in either of the tab in the worksheet or there is no data present for that user for the field used in grouping.
  • Make sure you check UDF and compensation planning report to verify whether there is no NULL/ blank data for any of the user's present in the worksheet. Its often easier to make that field as Non hidden to see the values being fetched in the worksheet to know about the NULL.
  • If you see that the field used for grouping is present in both Salary and Bonus, kindly make sure to make one of them (which has no NULL data or all users are eligible in that tab for that field) as unique labeled and select it in budget grouping.
