2678785 - Output History Tab Missing in Not Migrated Purchase Order

Symptom

Although the purchase order is not created by migration, you find the Output History tab is missing for it.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign All Versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
  2. Go to Purchase Orders view.
  3. Open purchase order ABC (ABC refers to the purchase order ID).
  4. View all.

You see the Output History tab is missing.

Cause

The Prevent Output indicator is checked in General tab.

If you checked this indicator, the purchase order will not be outputted and the supplier will not be notified automatically when the purchase order is ordered, changed, or cancelled.

This is the expected system behavior.

Resolution

The Prevent Output indicator is available at each purchase order document level, and it's unchecked by default.

When you create a new purchase order, you can manually check it.

If you want to stop using this indicator to avoid user mistake, you can hide this field via key user adaptation mode to make the field not published to end users.
