2679203 - "Syntax error in routine" for rule routine in Transformation

Symptom

Opening and activating a Transformation in the BW Modeling Tool client in a BW/4HANA system with SP08 or higher shows the following error message:

  • Rule (target: &1 group: &2): Syntax error in routine

Opening the Transformation and checking the routine in the GUI with the help of RSTRANGUI shows the following message:

  • The field "SOURCE_FIELDS" is unknown, but there is a field with the similar name "SOURCE_FIELDS_RULE".
