Symptom
- When we connect to an ASE instance from within DBArtisan, it displays the version string beside the instance name.
-
For all ASE 15.7 and created 16.0 instances, it shows the version string that mathes the @@version output.
- For ASE 16.0 server which has been upgraded (using sqlupgrade) from v.15.7 to v.16.0, it shows "Adaptive Server Enterprise/15.7.0/EBF 21202 SMP SP50 ...." while @@version shows "Adaptive Server Enterprise/16.0SP03 PL04/EBF 27869 SMP/P/pwerpc/AIX 7.1.3.15 ....".
- We are trying to determine why the upgraded instance value in DBArtisan doesn't match the @@version value when it's an upgraded instance.
-
Where is the data in @@version sourced from in SAP ASE 16.0?
