2680131 - Unit of Measure (UoM) errors in BAPI calls

Symptom

You have configured multiple Unit of Measurement (UoM) in your system and are using one of the standard BAPIs for processing Purchase Order or Purchase Requisition:

  • BAPI_PO_CREATE1
  • BAPI_PO_CHANGE
  • BAPI_PR_CREATE
  • BAPI_PR_CHANGE

You have one item configured in one UoM (e.g. grams / grammes) and want to create a PR/PO containing other UoM (e.g. Kilos/KG), but the BAPI returns errors like 06194 - "Use a material with order unit &1".
