Symptom
After an SAP kernel upgrade (to 754, 753, 749, 773(patch level < 300)), the following errors or incorrect behavior occurs when using various BPC functions (this list may be incomplete):
- EPM Add-in reports or input schedules.
- BPC Web reports or input schedules.
- BPC Script Logic (i.e., K2 script) or any related Data Manager Packages.
- The Controls function of both BPC Standard and BPC Embedded.
- Member formula administration.
- Script logic administration.
- Running consolidation business rules such as currency translation or automatic adjustments.
- Running processes from the Consolidation Monitor such as Run Currency Translation and Run Consolidation.
Error:
- bad request. Server message: code: UJO_READ_EXCEPTION_018
- severity: error
- description:MDX statement error: Syntax error: Syntax Error : ..., row #, item: #'
- MDX Interface BAPI SelectData CL_RSO_APPLICATION_LOG========CP Batch processing Message No. BRAINOLAPAPI153
This error message can be found in the SLG1 log, the EPM Add-in pop-up error window or BPC Data Manager package execution logs.
