2682138 - Fixed Asset extension field greyed out.

• You create a Fixed Asset extension field (ie Fixed Asset Material ID) with display type as Input field in the Fixed Asset Xbo -> AssociatedIndividualMaterial Node.
• The Individual Matrerial is in status Acquired, the field is greyed out.
• As per your requirement you want to update the field after acquisition and you noticed that this is not possible as the field is greyed out.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work centre.
2. Select the Fixed Assets view.
3.  Select the Fixed Asset ID: X-X (X-X stands for the ID of the Fixed Asset).
4. Click on the Fixed Asset ID.
5. Select View All.
6.  Under the Master data tab, select the Individual Material sub tab.

The individual material YYY (YYY stands for the Individual Material ID) is in status 'Acquired' and the created field is greyed out.

When bound to the Fixed Asset BO - Master Data IMAT (Individual Material)-field any directly-related fields are not intended to be edited once the concerned Individual Material assumes Life Cycle Status is'Acquired'.

This is a strong BO-Definition and it is not open to alteration. This is a normal system behaviour.
