2683867 - Cannot change scale type in condition configuration - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • In app "Manage Your Solution" / CBC Configuration, the scale type cannot be changed in configuration "Set Condition Type for Pricing in Sales".
  • Error is "It is not possible to change from value to value D".  

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open app "Manage Your Solution" / CBC Configuration, and then open SSCUI "Set Condition Type for Pricing in Sales" (SSCUI ID 101120).
  2. Change field 'Scale Type' from blank to 'D'.
  3. Click on Save
  4. Error "It is not possible to change from value to value D" is shown.

Cause

In a cloud system, the scale type cannot be changed anymore after saving the condition type creation.

Resolution

Please copy an existing condition type to create a new condition type with the expected scale type.
