2684799 - Inactive Exchange Rates are Shown as Current Exchange Rates Under General Ledger

You have noticed that inactive exchange rates are being shown in the Current Exchange Rates view. You expect that in this view only active rates are shown.

SAP Business ByDesing.

1. Go to General Ledger work center.
2. Under Common Tasks, click Edit Exchange Rate.

You see that the system is showing the rates that were removed/inactive as Current Exchange Rates.

You expect that the Inactive rates would not be seen in this view. Only via View Exchange Rate History.

This screen shows the exchange rates with the latest Valid From date. It can have multiple records in following cases:

• If there are multiple records for the same currency pair with the same Valid from date.
• If the pair with the latest Valid From date has been made inactive and the pair with a Valid From date before that is active.

The above description is the design system behavior. Note that even though the inactive rates are shown, the system only picks up exchange rates that are active.
