How to have a Workflow Triggered upon Adding a Contingent Worker?

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Add Contingent Worker Wizard.
2. Fill all the Details.
3. Expectation is to have a Workflow triggered for Approving the New Contingent Worker.

1. Go to Configure Business Rules > click "+" to create new rule > click on "Employee Central Core" >> select "Trigger Workflows".
2. Set Base Object = Employee Information/Employee Information Model and create a rule as below:

1. Set this as an OnSave rule under Manage Business Configuration >> jobInfo element, and save it.
2. You should now see the workflow being triggered upon submitting a new contingent worker on Add Contingent Worker Wizard.

Note: this rule will not work to Add Contingent Assignment (concurrent employment).

To create a rule to trigger while adding a new assignment for contingent worker, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to Configure Business Rules > click "+" to create new rule > click on "Employee Central Core" >> select "Trigger Workflows".
2. Set Base Object = Job Information Model and create a rule as below:

1. Set this as an OnSave rule under Manage Business Configuration >> jobInfo element, and save it.
