Calculate Stock out of a value other than Current Annual Salary.

The stockBase is a base field id that we can use if we want the Stock to be calculated out of another value other than the Current Annual Salary.

If you want to use this you must first add a custom field in your Stock Plan and assign “stockBase” as the column id.

• For Non-EC Stock Template

You must add an Import Key.

This key will be available as field/column in your UDF and here you will add the value for each of your users where the granted Stock will be taken from.

Export your UDF with comp data and select the Stock template > populate key field/column > Import the UDF back.

• For EC Stock Template

You can either add a formula to calculate the value where the Stock will be taken from or map it to an EC field that has the needed value.

Once the above needed configuration is saved the “stockBase” field is now ready to be used/added to your Stock comp-rule within your template’s XML.

Please note that changes to your template’s XML can only be uploaded via Provisioning. If you do not have access to Provisioning you must contact Cloud Product Support to assist you.

Upon completion of the above XML change you can now launch a form to check. Grant a Stock recommendation based on your Stock Guideline and it should be calculated based on the value of your “stockBase” field/column.

NOTE: stockBase is a base field for Stock only. Currently we do not have yet a base field for other components like the Options, Other1-2 and Units. There is already an open enhancement idea to add base field for those other mentioned components (CMP-6644).
