Symptom

Error 103 when entering a BEGIN TRANSACTION command with a transaction name longer than 30 characters.
- Systransactions system table uses a varchar(255) for transaction names, suggesting longer names are possible.
Example

Server 'ASE', Line 3:
The transaction name that starts with 'a234567890123456789012345678901' is too
long. Maximum length is 30.
