2685371 - The Chinese, Japanese, Korean double bytes characters are garbled in Web Intelligence's comment

Symptom

  • There is a fix provided in SAP note 2641624 which will change CommentText data type to NVARCHAR to allow it save double byte words in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • However in Patch 5.4, using Commentary function in Web Intelligence and input the double byte characters like Chinese, Japanese, Korean data will be still saved and displayed as ?????
  • In database COMMENTARY_MASTER table, find the saved CommentText value is also like ?????
