2686069 - Background Image in Theme Manager

Symptom

How can I change SuccessFactors background image?
How to upload a custom background image in SuccessFactors?
Is it possible to change the instance's background wallpaper?
What's the background image maximum supported resolution and size?

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Admin Center.
Navigate to Company settings > Theme Manager.
Choose your theme and click on it.
Expand Fine tune > Click Backgrounds.
Under Background you can choose the following options:
- Use a URL (see instructions for hosting your image via SFTP in the "See Also" section of the KBA)
- Upload a file.
- Texture image
- No image

Resolution

There are two requirements when uploading a new image:

The image must be 1920 x 1080 pixels or smaller in terms of resolution.
The file size must not exceed 2MB.

Further reference: Full HD resolution should be sufficient to display properly across all SuccessFactors screens.

Note: The image will fit the window size, therefore we do not recommend to use letterbox or frame in the background image since it can not be adjusted to all windows' size. Refers to Theme Settings: Background:

Select No Repeat to show background color if resizing window beyond the size of the image.
