2686345 - Approvers are not Receiving Notifications From Approval Process / Object Owner Not Receiving Notification About Object Being Sent Back For Revision

Symptom

Approvers are not receiving notifications from Approval Process and/OR object owners are not getting notified when an approval is rejected and sent back for revision by the approver:

This includes both the notifications that an object needs to be approved, as well as the notifications when an approver returns an object for revision.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Cause

If the work center view IPad Offline is not assigned to Approvers, they will not receive notifications from the system.

This occurs if that work center view contains relevant tasks for approval processes.

Resolution

In order for users to receive approval notifications, assign the work center view IPad Offline for those users:

  1. Go to the Administration work center.
  2. Go to the General Settings work view.
  3. Click Business Users.
  4. Select the relevant Approver user. 
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Select Access Rights option.
  7. Open the Business Role which the user is assigned to.
  8. Click View All.
  9. Go to Work Center and View Assignments.
  10. Flag the checkbox for Work Center/View ID IPAD OFFLINE.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Click Assigned Users.
  13. Select Update Users.
