2686392 - How to set language for user interface - ribbon texts, menu entries, client messages

• You want to use another language rather than English for user interface in AO. For example, the ribbon texts.
  
  
• You want to use another language rather than English to display some error/warning messages, but they are displayed as English, even you logged on the BW system with language "EN".
  For example,
    - New row 2 is incomplete. One or more characteristics are filled incorrectly
    - Incomplete rows not transferred to planning buffer
  
  

SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office

The language of the Analysis user interface itself ( ribbon texts,  menu entries, and client messages for example) is determined by the Microsoft Office display language. There are some differences between different versions of Microsoft Office about how to set the display language. Below is an example in Microsoft Office 2016.

1. Open Excel, go to File -> Options -> Language. Or, open "Office 2016 Language Preferences" from Windows Programs.
2. Move the expect language to the top of "Display Language". If the expect language is not in the list, click "How do I get more Display and Help languages from office.com?" to get more information about how to install it.
3. Click OK and restart Excel.

In AO, there are 2 parameters can overwrite Microsoft Office display language, they have a higher priority than Microsoft Office display language. Please check SAP Note 2452455 about how to use the AO Parameters.
