2687424 - "Go To Generated UI" Link is Greyed Out in Custom Business Object - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

There is a requirement to click on the "Go to Generated UI" button in Custom Business Objects app but it appears greyed out.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to Custom Business Objects app
2. Open the Custom Business Object
3. The "Go to Generated UI" button is not available

To enable users to access the Generated UI, adding a Business Catalog to the Custom Business Object using the Custom Catalog Extensions app is necessary.

If there are no catalogs maintained for this Custom Business Object, it indicates lack of authorizations. As a result, no user can access it, which cause problems with the "Go to Generated UI" button.

Follow the solution steps below:

1. Open the Custom Catalog Extensions app.
2. Search for the Custom Business Object and click on the item with the "SCBO" suffix in the search results to open it.
3. In the Custom Catalog Extension YY1_XXX_SCBO, click on the "Add" button.
4. At this point, individuals must choose which Business Catalog will grant access to this CBO. This choice can be based on business requirements.
5. Search for the Business Catalog that needs to be added to this CBO and select its checkbox.
6. Click on "OK".
7. Select the checkbox for the Business Catalog again and click on "Publish".
8. Finally, click on the "Check" button.

After completing these steps, the Business Catalog will be added to the Custom Business Object.

Note:

• For 2SL Systems, the Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST is utilized for extensibility customizing, which can only be done in the Test Tenant.
• For 3SL Systems, the Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST is available only in the Customizing Tenant, and changes can be transported to the target tenant.

As a result, SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST only exists in the test or customizing tenant. Individuals need to ensure that they have the Business Catalog maintained in the Custom Catalog Extension assigned to their user in the system to have authorization to use the "Go to Generated UI" button.
