2688473 - "Invalid column length" or Signal 11 in stat_sargden_accumulate() during Workload Replay - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Using Workload Analyzer to replay a workload.
  • The captured workload includes bulk insert commands. For example: Repserver HAVR transaction.
  • The following errors with stacktraces are reported in the ASE errorlog:
     
    • Invalid column length: 207. Value must be between 0 and 1 at offset -10 for 'data-only' row with minimum row length of 70.

      The stacktrace includes functions:

         collocate
         set_do_keys
         dol__form_btleafrow
         dol__ncinsert
         dol_insert
         bulk_normal_row
       
    • Current process (0x64e13271) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
      Address 0x0x000000000194432e (stat_sargden_accumulate+0x3e), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000008)
       

      The stacktrace includes functions:

         stat_sargden_accumulate
         statgather
         stat_collect
         statbuild_noindex
         startsort
         sort
         ups_build_stat_noindex
         update_statistics_colset_driver
         ups__updstats_column
         update_statistics
         update_statistics_implicit
