Environment

  • SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office 2.7
  • SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office 2.8

Reproducing the Issue

Open a workbook with "Remove Data Before Saving" selected.

Cause

This behaviour is by design.

Resolution

When the workbook was saved with "Remove Data Before Saving", AO kept the main structure of the crosstab visible. All data cells were merged to one single data cell which contains the text "Data removed. Refresh to update data display". The non data areas (header areas) were displayed with a special style 'SAPDataRemoved'. This style is by default grey and you can change this style as per Chapter "Defining style sets for crosstabs" in the User Guide of Analysis Office, available in https://help.sap.com/boao.
