2689318 - Restrict Manager from Viewing Compensation Information of Employee With New Effective Date Record

Symptom

Manager can view Compensation information for all employee's.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  • Review users Profile with Job Information change record for New Manager.
  • An example the future Manager change record is set for 01/09/2019
  • Then review the Compensation record with a future Change record of 01/09/2019 alo.
  • As the current manager has view history permissions he will be able to review both future records.

Cause

As the Employee is still in the Target Population of the Manager, the manager will have the full permissions to view Compensation Information of the user.

Resolution

Only possible way this can be handled would be to restrict the permissions for all the managers to only be able to view the current record of Compensation Information for the Employee's.

Remove History view permissions for Compensation Information for all managers.

Else if you require the managers to have permissions to view the History of Compensation Information for all users you cannot restrict this.

The old manager will still be able to review the Compensation Records future effective record.
