Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to user profile and view MDF Data in Organisational/Job Information and you will see external codes displayed for MDF Data such as Business Unit and Department.

Resolution

There is currently an open enhancment request for an option to be able to remove external codes from the UI in a future release.
