2690032 - Recommended Storage Quantity (RSQ) equal to zero not allowed.

Symptom

  • While this is acceptable for many situations, it is an operational detriment in others. When a product changes its planning behavior from planning to non-planning relevant, the planning values are removed and RSQ stores the same value. It can happen that a product changes to non-planning relevant and there may be already purchase orders en route. When this product is received, the receiving location attempts to slot the product according to an RSQ value and depending on the product, time is taken to re-slot other products. In order to make room for an incorrect RSQ set for this received product, thereby negatively impacting receiving total cycle time.
  • If you try to change this value to 0, an error message is raised: “RSQ qty couldn't be determined (/SAPAPO/PINV302)”.
