E-mail validation message is displayed as warning message instead of an error message.

SAP Cloud for Customer / Sales / Fiori / HTML5

We will use Contacts as example.

1. Go to the Customers work center.
2. Select the Contacts view.
3. Open a random contact.
4. Select the Relationship facet.
5. Click the Add button and the respective relationship type.
6. Enter ABC.DE in the E-mail field (ABC.DE represents the invalid e-mail address).

Following warning message is displayed: ‘E-mail address ABC.DE isn’t valid. Please check.’.

However, you expect this message to be displayed as an error message.

Allow saving of inconsistent addresses is flagged under the fine -tune activity Address Check.

Resolution:

In order to have an error message instead of a warning message you need to execute the following steps:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Click the Open Activity List button.
4. Select the Fine-Tune tab.
5. Search and open the Address Check fine-tune activity.
6. Remove the flag from the Allow saving of inconsistent addresses checkbox.
