2690514 - Is it possible to restore a deleted candidate profile - Recruiting Management

A candidate deleted their profile accidentally. Is it possible to restore this profile and/or is it possible to disable the ability for a candidate to delete their profile?

1. Go to career site
   
2. Create a profile/sign into profile
3. Click on the My Profile Tab
4. You will see a button "Delete Profile" with a trash can icon

It is impossible to disable the ability for a candidate to delete their profile. This is a standard functionality and a candidate should always have the ability to delete their profile for their own purpose and security.

As for mistakenly deleting a candidate profile, this is a known limitation. The system should have already warned the candidate that if the profile is deleted it will purge the information of the candidate and withdraw any applied jobs.

So in this scenario the only thing that we can do, is to have the candidate re-apply to the job and reprocess it again, and since the recruiter can provide comments then we can suggest to reference the previous candidate(Deleted) profile.

Notice that to have the candidate signing again with the same email, the contactEmail must be marked to be anonymized in the candidate profile template. If the candidate or the user deletes profile and the field is not correctly configured as anonymize="true", once you try to add the candidate again with the same email, you will receive an error message saying the candidate already exists. There are other customers in the community raising this as an enhancement request, however please do provide your opinion in case you want to push through on the limitation.
