Symptom
Can you remove the delete button (trash can icon) from the Recurring Deductions / Payments portlet?

Employee Central - Advances & Deductions
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Recurring Deductions portlet of a users profile
- Select edit (pencil icon)
- The delete button (trash can icon) is visible as seen below
Cause
This is caused by the rule 'MakeFieldsReadOnlyForNoPerm' not being assigned as both 'onInitUI' and 'onInsertUI' on the Configuration UI.
Resolution
- Find out which Configuration UI is used by navigating to 'Manage Data' -> 'Configure Deduction Screen Ids'. Make note of which UI configuration is used for Recurring Deductions
- Navigate to 'Manage Configuration UI' and select the Configuration UI you found previously for Recurring Deductions
- Select 'Edit Properties' of the UI config (just below where you selected the Configuration UI)
- Check that the rule 'MakeFieldsReadOnlyForNoPerm' is assigned to both 'onInitUI' and 'onInsertUI' rules. If not, please add this rule
