2691740 - ASE_XRAY license and 'performance monitoring option' config option - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When setting config option 'performance monitoring option'
  • ASE reports error 10834
  • And refers to ASE_XRAY license

Msg 10834, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'ASE', Procedure 'sp_configure', Line 1335:
Configuration parameter 'performance monitoring option' can not be enabled without license 'ASE_XRAY'.

  • As a result, the ASE errorlog reports messages relating to ASE_XRAY license :

SySAM: Failed to obtain license(s) for ASE_XRAY feature from License Server my_license_server.
SySAM: No such feature exists. Verify that a license containing the feature name ASE_XRAY is available or generate and deploy the license from the SAP Support Portal.
SySAM: License feature name:  ASE_XRAY
SySAM: FlexNet Licensing error:-5,412
SySAM: FlexNet Licensing error:-5,357
server   Configuration parameter 'performance monitoring option' can not be enabled without license 'ASE_XRAY'.
