2692560 - Signal 11 or Timeslice error in kbfalloc() with xml_malloc_fragment() in stack - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • Client connection unexpectedly terminated.
  • The ASE errorlog contains either a timeslice error or an" infected with signal 11" error in the module kbfalloc() together with a stack trace:

Current process (0x19ff00a9) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000021c1942 (kbfalloc+0x542), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x000000000000000f)

   OR

kernel  timeslice -1001, current process infected at 40000000028b3d80 (kbfalloc+0x640)

  • The stack trace that includes the following functions:

kbfalloc
ubfallocf

xml_malloc_fragment
