2693164 - Error: 16332 Open server call to routine 'srv_descfmt' failed - SRS

Symptom

  • In a mixed SRS versions environment, the SRS 16.0 raises the following Open Server/Open Client (OCS) error multiple times:
     
  •  ERROR #21 USER(sa) - generic/sqm/sqmprt.c(812)
  •  Open server call to routine 'srv_descfmt' failed.
  •  Open Server error: Error: 16332, State: 0, Severity 10 -- 'srv_descfmt(): CS_NUMERIC_TYPE result types are being withheld or not supported'.
     
  • According to sqmprt.c(812), the error came from 'sa' who logged to SRS & issued an 'admin who,sqm' command.
