2693539 - E-mail Involved Parties Data Source Does Not Show Recipient Party Name

Symptom

You are using the data source E-mail Involved Parties (CODEMAPTYB) in your report, and you have added the fields Party Role and Party to the view. In some cases, the recipient name is not shown, even though there is a recipient in the respective e-mail.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the work center Business Analytics, view Design Data Sources.
  2. Search for E-mail Involved Parties and click on Preview.
  3. You can filter for some specific e-mails and add the Party Role and Party to the view.

In some cases, the recipient's name is not displayed in the field Party.

Cause

The field Party comes from the party master data and it only shows those business partners which are saved in your system, e.g. as prospects, accounts etc. If an e-mail was sent to a recipient who is not a party in your system, this field shows # (unassigned).

Resolution

For those cases, you can make use of the field Display Name, which reflects the address the e-mail was sent to.
