Symptom
Run a report offline to Excel format .xlsx and receive a warning message in Excel as follows:
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics
- Adhoc Reporting
- BIRT Upgrade
Reproducing the Issue
- Run ReportX
- Run Offline
- Format: Excel
- Go to Scheduled Reports / View Schedules in Report Centre
- Open File
- See above warning message from Excel: "We found a problem with some content in ReportX.xlsx. Do you want us to try and recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, clixk Yes."
Cause
There is no difference in the raw data but there is a difference in the way the data is grouped in a table. In 2.6.0, all the data are grouped under one table but in 4.3.2 the data’s are grouped in multiple tables with same column header based on some size or logic.
Resolution
The message is not actually an error but just a warning. This is the reason why clicking on 'Yes' eventually loads the report.
You may check this link we found from Microsoft that is related to the message that is prompting:
The translation of the steps is go to 'Review' > Share Workbook > tick the 'Use the old shared workbooks feature instead of the new co-authoring experience.' under the 'EDITING' tab.
Then under the 'ADVANCED' tab > un-tick 'Filter Settings' > OK
