2694726 - Error: Conversion factor for quantity MASS not defined in Product definition; Action Failed.

Symptom

When you are trying to confirm the Make Task, system throws below error messages :

---->Conversion factor for quantity MASS not defined in Product definition; Action Failed.

---->Save Failed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Production Control work center.
  2. Go to Task Control view.
  3. Find required Task ID against respective Production Order.
  4. Select and choose to confirm.
  5. Mark the checkbox confirmation finished.
  6. Here system throws above error messages.

Cause

For input products, in their respective product's master data, the base UoM is X and the logistics, planning, valuation UoM of the same product is Y. There is no conversion factor maintained in the product master between X and Y. ( i,e. here X and Y are Units of Measure)

Resolution

  1. Go to Product and Service Portfolio work center
  2. Go to Products view 
  3. Search for a respective Product ID.
  4. Select and edit it.
  5. Choose View All
  6. Under General tab, go to General sub tab.
  7. Scroll down, under the Quantity Conversions section.
  8. Maintain the Quantity Conversion factor between X and Y. ( i.e. here X and Y are Units of Measure)
