2694924 - ERROR #32058 REP AGENT Cannot replicate encrypted column - SRS

Symptom

  • This error is raised after enabling replication on an ASE table that has an encrypted column
     
  • Rep Agent shut down with the following error:
     
    • ERROR #32058 REP AGENT(PDS.PDB) - de/generic/nrm/nrm.c(4646)
      The value given for 'repdef.encrypted_column' cannot be translated from datatype 'binary' to the required datatype 'varchar'. Value length is 17'; Maximum target length is '11';
