2695771 - Certain Font Characters do Not Appear in a Form Template Preview

You have a form template with certain characters in a language other than English. The foreign language characters do not appear in the preview (in e.g. Chrome or Edge) but appear when you download the template and open in Adobe Reader.

1. Preview a form template with certain characters in language other than English (Open in IE , Chrome or Edge).
2. You do not see the characters.
3. Download the form template and open in Adobe Reader. The characters are visible.

This behavior is caused by browser-specific rendering limitations.

The form preview displayed in the browser depends on the browser’s PDF rendering and the fonts available in the local environment. Some browsers may not fully support embedded fonts or specific Unicode characters used in certain languages.

Adobe Reader uses its own PDF rendering engine with broader font and character support. Therefore, the same form template displays the foreign language characters correctly when opened in Adobe Reader.

This behavior is expected and is related to the browser rendering capability, not to the form template generation in the system. Please check the browser settings.
