2695985 - Signal 11 in closetable() after Error 1204 "ASE has run out of locks" - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE ran out of locks:

Error: 1204, Severity: 17, State: 2
ASE has run out of LOCKS. Re-run your command when there are fewer active users, or contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role to reconfigure ASE with more LOCKS.

  • Client connection unexpectedly terminated.
  • The ASE errorlog contains an "infected with signal 11" error in the module closetable() with a stack trace:
  • The stcak trace includes the following functions:

closetable 
attrib_delrows 
delattrib
