2696514 - Data Source Opportunity History (technical ID CODOPPHHB) does not show any data

Symptom

You opened the preview of data source Opportunity History or created your own customized report on top of it and realized that it does not show any data.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Select the view Design Data Sources.
  3. Search for the data source Opportunity History (ID CODOPPHHB) and open the Preview.
  4. The data source will not display any data.

Cause

This is expected system behavior. In order to see the history of opportunities you need to scope the historical analysis of opportunities.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Select the view Implementation Projects.
  3. Edit Project Scope and go to Step 4 - Questions.
  4. Go to the Scoping Element Sales and expand it.
  5. Go to the New Business and select Opportunities.
  6. Go to the right hand side and look for Opportunity History (1).
  7. The question Do you want to enable historical analysis of opportunities? is not scoped.
  8. If you want to report on the Opportunity History you need to tick this box and scope this question.

Please note that only data will be available from the time the scope has been made.
