2697064 - Competitor Product field Unassigned # in Report

You are reporting on data source Opportunity Header and Item, and noticed that field Competitor Product (Product) is retrieving not assigned values.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Log into the system in HTML5 ui
2. Go to work center Sales > Opportunities work center view
3. Find and open the Opportunity XYZ
4. Go to tab Competitors
5. Note there is information maintained in section "Competitor Product"
6. The information above, however, is not available in reports created on data source Opportunity Header and Item [CODOPPU], like on report Competitors by No. of Deals [CODOPPU_Q0007]

The data source Opportunity Header and Item brings data only from Products tab in the opportunity, which is related to the items present in the opportunity. The information you're looking for is maintained in tab Competitors, which is not stored in the data source Opportunity Header and Item, but in a different data source: Opportunity Competitor Product Header.

The field Competitor Products, available in the data source Opportunity Header and Item, is an attribute from field Product, and it is created to show if the Product in the opportunity is coming from a Competitor or not. In the case it is, it is going to be shown as "X", in the case it is not, it will be shown as "#".

If you want to check the opportunities with their respective competitor Product ID, you can make use of the data source Opportunity Competitor Product Header, which can be joined with Opportunity Header and Item data source by using field Opportunity ID as join condition.
