2697225 - Error: "DD1.MM1.YYYY1 to DD2.MM2.YYYY2; business residence XYZ must be below a profit center. It is also possible to flag both definitions on the same org unit"

When you try to activate the Organizational Structure, system throws below error message:

DD1.MM1.YYYY1 to DD2.MM2.YYYY2; business residence XYZ must be below a profit center. It is also possible to flag both definitions on the same org unit.

* XYZ represents the Business Residence ID
DD1.MM1.YYYY1 and DD2.MM2.YYYY2 represent the validity of the Business Residence
DD.MM.YYYY represents the validity of the Profit Center

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Organizational Management work center
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks
3. Select Activate button and choose Activate All

The validity of the Business Residence starts from DD1.MM1.YYYY1 but the Profit Center validity is from DD.MM.YYYY. These validities should be same.

Example:
07.03.2016 to 08.09.2016; business residence XYZ must be below a profit center. It is also possible to flag both definitions on the same org unit.

In this case the validity of the Business Residence starts from 07.03.2016 but the Profit Center validity is from 09.09.2016. These validities should be same.

If you are defining an Org Unit as Business Residence then there should be a Profit Center on the same level or above that. This is standard behavior.

Correct the Organizational Structure and proceed with the activation.
