2697622 - Compensation Management - Executive Review's Filter Options Do Not Follow Data Model Translations

Symptom

The Filter Options popup in Executive Review do not respect the locale-specific labels defined in the data model

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Upload a data model with  <label xml:lang="[locale]">[label here]</label>, where [locale] is a locale code that is not en-US (English US)

  2. Log in to the instance
  3. Go to Options > Change Language
  4. Select any language other than English US (e.g., English UK)
  5. Go to Compensation > Executive Review
  6. Click on Filter Options
  7. The labels for Department, Division, and Location will not follow the definition you made in the data model

Cause

As per engineering, this is expected behavior.

Resolution

You can use the Manage Languages feature instead as defined in KB article 2576546. Specifically, you will need to add the following keys to the affected locale's custom language pack:

DEPARTMENT
DIVISION
LOCATION

Note that you will have to repeat the process for each locale you are configuring.
