2698711 - WFA Chart not Changing with Filter by Selection

Symptom

  • Using Filter by on a WFA chart is not working.  The count or the data displayed is not changing according to the Filter value selection.
  • You are using a Filter by Dimension that is also used in the chart query.  E.g. Chart uses Terminations measure analyzed by Gender (used either as Row or Column in the pivot query) and a Gender value is selected as Filter by.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics.

Cause

A Dimension cannot be applied to the same query twice, so you will also observe that you cannot put an analysis dimension both as e.g. Row and Filter in the pivot query designer at the same time.

Resolution

You can use other dimensions to Filter by such as Age, EEO Job Category etc.  Using the example above, the displayed count will change per Gender category (Male and Female) when applying an Age filter, but the chart will continue to show both Genders.
