2698853 - Msg 3606(Arithmetic overflow) occurred when performing a command 'online database' - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE upgrade failed using a dump file which was generated in ASE 12.5.4.
  • When performing a command 'online database', Msg 3606(Arithmetic overflow) occurred.

1> online database <dbname>

Database '<dbname>' appears to be at an older version '0' than the present installation at version '15700'; ASE will assess it, and upgrade it as required.

Msg 3606, Level 16, State 0:
Server '<servername>', Line 1:
Arithmetic overflow occurred.
Msg 3454, Level 20, State 1:
Server '<servername>', Line 1:
Database '<dbname>': ASE could not completely upgrade this database; upgrade item 1564 could not be installed.
ASE could not bring database '<dbname>' online.
