Symptom

  • Jobs stop running in BPA
  • You notice cursors that accumulate and receive error
           ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
  • Statements involved start with 
           select 'TABLE' as table_type from dual union select 'VIEW'
            OR
           SELECT NULL as table_cat, ...
  • open_cursors parameter is already set to max value
