External filter under Manage Documents is appearing grayed out.

When navigating to:

1. Admin Center
2. Company Settings 
3. Manage Documents
4. Expending filter Options 
   

"External" filter is appearing grayed out as the following figure demostrates:

This is caused because the user you are accessing Manage Documents does not have permission to access external documents (which is controlled by Recruiting permissions).

The following permission needs to be granted for users in order to have access to external documents:

Navigate to:

1. Admin Center
2. Manage Permission Roles
3. Select the role
4. Permission...
5. Recruiting Permissions
6. Grant OData API Canditate Export permission
