2700264 - Candidate Purge with DPCS 2.0 | What happens to the candidate if we decline the purge request - Recruiting Management

Symptom

Scenario:

  1. A new purge request with criteria XYZ was created to purge inactive candidates;
  2. An email was sent to all the approvers with the list of candidates to be purged, asking for their approval on having the purge job executed or not;
  3. The approver sees the purge list and decides to deny its execution.

This article provides information on what happens if we create a second purge request with the exact same criteria. The mentioned scenarios and resolution do not apply only to Candidate Purge requests, but all the other types of purge requests too.

Environment

Resolution

Regardless if a candidate (or any other purge result) has already been considered and declined for a purge request, new purge requests will still bring that candidate again, if following a matching purge criteria. In other words, items to be purged will be mentioned as many times as they fit in the purge requests until it is finally purged, regardless if it was considered (and declined) for other purges in the past.
